URGENT: Use September WIC Benefits Before Saturday,
Sept. 30, at 11:59 p.m. MST
Dear Adams County WIC families,
The Federal Government, which supports WIC program funding, is currently working through budget negotiations. If a federal funding agreement is not resolved, and you will no longer be able to purchase WIC foods with your eWIC card starting 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, 10/1. We are hoping an agreement can be made by the deadline, and we are closely monitoring the situation. In the meantime, we strongly encourage all Adams County WIC families to use their remaining September WIC food benefits by Saturday, Sept. 30, at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
If an agreement cannot be made, and a Federal Government shutdown officially occurs, our Adams County local WIC agency and Colorado State WIC agency will send more information.
We ask that you please keep your WIC appointment and meet other WIC program requirements during the potential shutdown. You may also find updates from Colorado WIC. If the shutdown is resolved before the October 1 deadline, WIC will continue to operate as normal.
Adams County WIC families are important to us. We will do our best to support, serve, and provide you with local resources to meet your nutritional needs. Please utilize the Adams County Food Resource list that has recently been updated by Adams County Human Services. You can access the list on here.
